Fleet Lube Tech Position

Job Description

Essential functions

  • Perform services (oil changes, tire changes, tire mounting and balancing, grease fittings, change light bulbs, etc.) on vehicles
  • Perform services on equipment
  • Small engine repairs
  • Assist mechanics on larger repairs
  • Learn and develop skills to move up to mechanic position
  • Perform any other duty or assignment as may be required from time to time by their supervisor
  • Document records of service and repair work on all trucks and equipment

Work environment

  • Work around equipment that is loud and noisy
  • Work indoors and outdoors
  • Work around moving equipment

Physical demands

  • Stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • Use fingers, hands, and arms to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects
  • Work on uneven surfaces and various heights, with fall protection
  • See and hear well (either naturally or with correction).
  • Must be able to work in tight and confined spaces
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Required education and experience

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • One year of related experience
  • Ability to pass DOT physical
  • Class C Driver’s License

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

Schedule:

  • 8-10 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • Automotive repair: 2 years (Required)
