JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective: This position requires a team player with a pleasant personality and the ability to patiently and effectively communicate with a diverse group of people. Strong ethics and the ability to maintain confidential information are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for entering employee timesheets on a daily basis into SAGE 300 CRE, including overtime, holiday pay and bonuses.
  • Responsible for processing payroll from start to finish in Paycor.
  • Responsible for balancing payroll accounts between SAGE 300 CRE and Paycor and resolving payroll discrepancies.
  • Responsible for tracking and processing of Vacation and PTO requests, and maintenance of accurate records regarding same.
  • Responsible for maintenance of employee database, including updating pay rate changes, position and other criteria.
  • Responsible for training employees on payroll mobile application.
  • Responsible for inputting new hire information into SAGE 300 CRE and finalizing input into Paycor.
  • Responsible for tracking employee attendance on a daily basis, maintaining attendance tracker and updating HR calendar.
  • Responsible for responding to inquiries from employees regarding paycheck amounts, deductions, direct deposits, leave accruals and any other concerns.
  • Responsible for setting up, tracking and maintaining employee loans.
  • Responsible for tracking referral and anniversary bonuses, adding to the weekly payroll and printing certificates.
  • Responsible for handling ACA, 1099S and W-2s.
  • Responsible for tracking employee store purchases and inputting deductions into weekly payroll.
  • Assist Controller with gathering materials as needed to assist with annual audits.
  • Responsible for entering 401K contributions and loan payments online with Principal Financial on a weekly basis.
  • Handle 401k open enrollment twice a year, including processing new members.
  • Assist Controller with gathering information for 401k audit and Form 5500 as needed.
  • Assist in the maintenance of employee records and files.
  • Other duties and special projects may be assigned.

Competencies:

  • Current experience working with Internet based payroll programs. Experience with Paycor a plus.
  • 3+ years of payroll experience.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to follow directions and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy is crucial.
  • Experience with SAGE 300 CRE a plus.
  • Spanish speaking is a plus.
